Myrtle Mikes

Alliance:

Myrtle Evelyn Mikes, 92, of Alliance, passed away peacefully on

Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 12:30 a.m. at her home surrounded by her

family.

She was born in Sistersville, W.V., April 18, 1929 to William and Minnie

(Grimm) Light who preceded her in death. Mrs. Mikes lived most of her life

in the Alliance area.

She is survived by daughters, Connie (Raymond) Leek and Brenda

Mikes-Sotcan; sons, Robert (Cindy) Wells, Raymond Mikes Jr., Larry

(Cheri) Mikes, Ronald Mikes, Donald Mikes, Rick (Malene) Mikes, and

Andrew Wells; 22 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 7

great-great-grandchildren and her very special dog Mojo.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Mikes was preceded in death by her

husband, Raymond G Mikes Sr., whom she married November 5, 1948;

sons, Jerry L., Darrell E., and William E. Mikes; grandchildren, William J.

Mikes, Brandy Renicker and Jason Renicker; sister, Martha Hammel;

brothers, Johnny, Tom, and Gail Light; daughters-in-law, Susan Mikes and

Roxanne Mikes; and son-in-law John Thomas “Tom” Sotcan.

Friends may call at Dean’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 23, 2021, from

11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial
