Jerry M. Schroeder, age 73, went home to be with his Savior on Saturday, March 7, 2020. He was born October 28, 1946 to the late Arthur and Lela Grace Schroeder.
He is survived by his Daughter; Jennifer (Dave) Schroeder-Rabung. A Son; Christopher (Abby) Schroeder. A Sister; Learta Richards. 5 Grand- Children; Lindsey Mae Barnett, Sara Grace Schroeder, Michael (Amy) Rabung, Kirsten Rabung and Seth Rabung. Two Nephews; Ryan Johnston and Logan Richards. A Niece; Marlo Barber. Two Great- Nieces; Marlee Payton and Nevaeh Barber. One Great- Nephew; Dylan Barber. Special Friend; Elaine Schroeder. His life-long Friend Merle (Bud) Wasmire.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved cat, Lucky who was his companion for 16 years. He graduated from Alliance High school and the University of Mount Union. He served proudly in The United State Navy and Naval Reserve. He was self employed as a mortgage broker.  He was a member of The Sebring Masonic Lodge, alliance American Legion, Dante Club, and former member of The Alliance Jaycees. His hobbies included singing karaoke with his signature song being Wild One by Bobby Rydell. He was a Cleveland sports fan who enjoyed the Indians and the Browns. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading his bible. He also liked to fish and was proud to follow Jesus and be a" fisher of men". For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. Viewing will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Alliance on Friday, March 13th from 9-1045 am. 1045am Masonic Service followed by 11am Military Service by Salem AM Vets and Funeral service to follow with Pastor Timothy Muse. Cremation will take place an inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery will take place at a later day. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
