Howard Krug, age 73, of Homeworth, passed away Monday morning, February 20,2023, at home with his family by his side. Howard was born January 30, 1950, to the late Wilmer & Lillian (Krahling) Krug in Alliance. A 1968 graduate of West Branch High School attended KSU attaining a 2-year degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired in 2015 after 49 years at Cope Equipment. Howard was a member of the Reading Brethren Church and served a term as Trustee. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and friend. He had a kind heart & a gentle soul, but he would also tell you like it was. His laughter was unique and contagious. Survivors include his wife Debbie (Johnson) recently celebrating their 50th anniversary, son & daughter-in-law Nathan & Molly (Faith) of Alliance, daughter & son-in-law Natalie & Jody Pinkelman of North Carolina. His much-admired grandchildren, Alex & Emma Krug. A sister Mary (Heinz) Erbelding of Niles. And, many nieces & nephews, along with sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law that were special to him. Also, a favorite cat, Mya, who could say his name. He was preceded in death by his twin brother at birth, and a sister Delores Keener who passed in 2017.
The family would like to express our thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Timken Cancer Center of Canton who became friends over the years of treatment. And, to Mercy Hospice, especially nurse Rachel & aide Angelia who gave such good care to Howard.

A memorial service will be held in April at the Reading Church of the Brethren.
