David Michael Smith (Sleepy), age 78 passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, April 2, 2020. David was born January 1, 1942 to Mitchell and Elaine (Boren) Smith. He attended Alliance High School then in 1964 enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years. He started his working career at the Alliance machine, then in the oil fields on a rig and finally became a top notch welder and retired from B& W Research (McDermott Technologies). He was also a former bar manager at the Roma Society.

David was preceded in death by his Father Mitchell, his Mother Elaine , and his Sister Karen Moesle. David is survived by his Wife; Ellen (Eastwood) Smith. A Sister; Judy Bowman, a Niece; Beth Ann Bowman, 3 Daughters, 2 Grand-Children, and his big black dog Puma. David was an avid golfer and loved the game. Per his request Cremation will take place and no public services will be held. Donations in his memory may be made to Angels for Animals.
