William P Richards, born on July 30, 1950, passed away on May 5, 2026. He will be remembered with great respect and affection by those who knew him, as a devoted father, brother, and grandfather, as well as a man who cherished life’s simple pleasures.

William had a passion for the outdoors, especially enjoying softball, fishing, and the serene beauty of Lake Erie. These interests were not simply hobbies but reflections of his deeply rooted connection to nature and community, where he found joy and relaxation.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Jessica Pikula and Samantha Steiner, who carry forward his legacy with pride. William’s spirit also lives on through his sisters Brenda Young, Betsy Sweely, and Lisa Rhome, as well as his brother Larry Richards. His warmth and kindness extended to his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, who all hold fond memories of his gentle and caring nature.

William’s family endured profound loss before—his son Joshua, as well as his father, mother, and infant sister Becky, preceded him in death. Their memories remained a cherished part of his life.
