For 27 wonderful years, William shared his life with his wife, Nancy, building a home full of laughter and love. Together, they raised their children, Chris McCartney and Dustin (Marsha) McCartney, who will always carry his spirit with them. His legacy lives on through six cherished grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.

He is also survived by his siblings, Barbara Barker, Roberta (David) Morrison, Janet (Gary) Smith, Marsha Marino, as well as several nieces, and nephews, who shared many fond memories with him.
A graduate of West Branch Schools, William spent much of his career in the lumber industry, earning respect for his hard work and dedication to quality. He loved the Cleveland Browns, enjoyed riding his Harley in his younger days, tinkering with lawn mowers, and spending time outdoors.
William also had a deep bond with his dog, Toby, and his other beloved pets, who gave him comfort and unconditional love. His passing leaves a deep void for family and friends, who will remember him for his passions, kindness, and the warmth he brought to their lives.
