Warren A Betz Jr., known affectionately to family and friends as Junior, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 27, 2026. Born on October 15, 1967, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Warren lived a life marked by generosity, quiet strength, and a profound connection to nature and those around him.

A graduate of Marlington High School’s Class of 1986, Warren pursued a career as a self-employed carpenter, where his skills and dedication were evident in every project he undertook. In addition to his carpentry, he worked part-time as a limousine driver, further demonstrating his commitment to community and service. One of his proudest accomplishments was building his own home with the support and help of his family and friends—a testament to his hard work, resilience, and the strong bonds he cultivated throughout his life.

Warren had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying nature, hiking, and spending cherished moments with family and friends. He was a man who generously shared what he had, especially his beloved woods, where he often allowed others to hunt or take peaceful walks to unwind. It was in these simple acts that he expressed his caring nature and appreciation for those close to him. His observant nature was a hallmark of his personality; many recall how he would kindly point out if a light had been left on or if an unfamiliar vehicle was nearby, always looking out for the well-being of others.

Memories of Warren include adventures such as visiting the Badlands by train and frequent stops at Hull’s Super Duper in New Garden, places that hold special significance for those who knew him. He was also known for his quirky ideas—original thoughts and perspectives that no one else might have considered—making him a truly unique and treasured friend.

Warren is survived by his siblings Eunice (Paul) Castellucci, Bruce (Cathy) Betz, and Colleen (Fred) Wafler; his nephews Thomas, Bryan, Jerry, and Andrew; and his nieces Lindsey, Haley, and Kristin. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren A Betz, and his mother, Shirley Betz.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to everyone who provided support and care to Junior throughout the years. He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him and feel the warmth of his friendship and generosity.

Warren’s legacy is one of kindness, thoughtful observation, and a deep love for nature and community. His memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him.
