Minerva:
Terry Lee Danner Sr. age 75, of Minerva passed away November 5, 2022, at Aultman Hospital in Canton surrounded by his family. He was born April 29, 1947, to the late William and Sarah (Snyder) Danner. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by those family members carrying on his legacy, sons; Matthew Lamp, Terry (Jessica) Danner II, grandchildren; Matthew, Alicia, Brettney, Cohen, Gwen, and Myla Lamp, Tyler (Kari) Danner, Madisyn (Christopher) Danner, great grandchildren; Myles Tewksbury, Arya Danner, Tyler John Danner, Matthew, Aria, and A’Novah Lamp. Siblings Bob Danner, Shirley Prendergast, Doris Clark, Deb Danner, and Ron Danner.
Terry was a 1967 graduate of Minerva High school. He was a standout basketball player during his high school career. He worked for thirty years at Minerva Wax Paper Corporation as a maintenance worker. He later enjoyed accompanying children on supervised school trips and keeping them safe. He was a member of the Minerva Eagles. His hobbies included fishing, and golfing. One of his favorite places to fish was Berlin Lake with his son and grandson. He was also talented in repairing and tinkering with all sorts of things. Terry was a fan of High School, Collegiate, and Professional sports. His favorite teams were the Ohio state Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Cleveland Indians/ Guardians. Terry had a fun personality that made him very likable by everyone. The family would like to voice their appreciation to Terry’s sister Shirley for her dedication and love that she showed her brother. She was always there taking care of him, visiting him faithfully and truly being his guardian angel here on Earth. She has that special calling of taking care of others and is such a blessing in the lives that she touches. The family would also like to thank the staff at Aultman MICU for their compassionate care. A special recognition of MICU Nurse Amanda and Dr. Knoch for going above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you for sharing your special gifts with our family.
