Terrie A. Cowell, age 63, left this earthly world on May 5, 2022, and entered into the presence of our Lord as she was reunited in Heaven with her family that had gone before her. She passed away at UH Portage Medical Center surrounded by her dear friends that had become her family. She was born January 29, 1959, to the late Thayer D. Cowell and Gladys V. (Brooks) Cowell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Cowell. She is survived by her godson; Jeremy Koach, goddaughter; Erica (Matt) McClain, and a host of special friends that were always there for her. Terrie graduated from Ravenna High School, class of 1977. She was a member of The First Congregational Church of Ravenna. She was employed for many years and then retired from Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was currently employed for several years as a secretary/ monitor technician for Select Medical Corporation in Akron. Her hobbies included making homemade cards, playing bunco, going out to eat, traveling, and spending time with her friends and fur babies. Terrie was often the planner and organizer for gatherings to bring her friends together. Those may include a picnic at her house or planning a get together to gather her friends. Terrie will be remembered for her kind spirit and beautiful smile that could light up any room. She was always doing things for others to show she cared for them. She was always present in her friends and co-workers lives in times of darkness, listening, being a beacon of light, and lifting them up in prayer. In Terrie's memory I encourage you truly be there for someone else, lift them up in prayer, be a good listener, and take every opportunity to brighten someone's day, until we meet again it's just, I'll see you later, love your dear friends left behind. A special thank you to her friends, Kim Lemmon, Cheryl Hogue, and Karen Henry, UH Portage Medical Center, and Dr. Hugh O'Neill for all their loving care. A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday June 12, 2022, from 1-2pm at The First Congregational Church in Ravenna. Funeral Service will follow at 2pm with Pastor Jerry Kruse officiating.
