Sherry Irene Carl, age 72, went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2022 at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, Canton, Ohio after she fought to recover from 2 major heart surgeries at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus.
Sherry was born on January 30, 1950, to the late Helen and Hank Keatly (Jury). She will be greatly missed by her son-in-law, Billy Mogus of Florida; her son and daughter-in-law, Chet and Tara Carl of Minerva; her daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jonathon Downs of Dalton; her daughter, Melissa Carl of Canada; her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Thoy Pfabe; her sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Erik Essig; her grandchildren, Aaron and Erica Carl, Ashley Gingerich, Britney Gingerich, Ellie, Max, Huntlieigh and Daniel Carl, Josie Board and Gavin Downs, Wesley and Willow Fong; her great-grandchildren, Landon, Lathan , Lillian, and Richie, and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her her parents, Helen and Allen Pfabe; her father, Hank Keatly; her son, Brett Yoho; her daughter, Sheila Mogus; her granddaughter, Brianna Mogus and her sister, Susan Mione.
Sherry graduated from Glenwood High School in 1968. She was an investor and a share holder in Arbaugh Mini storage in Alliance, Ohio. She also worked for many years as a nurse for assisted living homes and Visiting Angels. This was her nature to care for others that couldn’t care for themselves. She was a quiet, loving person who had a deep love for her family and the Lord. Sherry became a born again Christian when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the age of 36. Her heart’s devotion was to help others come to know the Lord and her heritage faith will remain as a precious example for those that knew her. Sherry was a faithful member of Hope Life Church and enjoyed volunteering her time to serve on the Church’s Serve Team. She also enjoyed connecting with others in small group activities. Sherry had a passion for her kids, grandkids, great-grand kids and all of her family. She loved watching them participate in concerts and sporting events. Sherry was a great listener and sounding board to her family and she was always up for a good cup of coffee and conversation.
Sherrys wishes were for her family to have a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorials may be sent to:
