Obituary – Sandra Lee Criss


                Sandra “Sandy” Lee Criss born November 24th, 1947, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 22nd, 2023, at the age of 75 surrounded by loved ones. Sandy was a beloved Grandmother and Mother who was adored by her family.  Sandy is survived by her son Michael (Constance) Criss of Salem, Her Granddaughter Brittney (John) McBride and three great-grandchildren Jayden McBride, Eve McBride, and Aubrey McBride all of Beloit; who were her entire world as well as her favorite dog Teddy.  Three brothers; James Criss of Lisbon, Roger Criss & Fred Criss both of Salem, Four Sisters; Barbara Jochum of Canton, Betty Baddley & Brenda (Steve) Nagle both of Alliance, and Annette (Eric) Woodley of Sebring. Closet nephews; Rick and Randy Reed, as well as many Nieces and Nephews. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents James and Beatrice (Carr) Criss, Two Sisters; Pamela Weese and Rebecca Reed.

Sandy was employed by Myers Brothers farm for over 20 years then employed by Myers Equipment for 30 years until she retired. Sandy was kind, hardworking, sarcastic, and would help anyone who needed it. There was never any question of how she felt about any person or situation. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking her famous beans and cake for cookouts, Christmas shopping, playing cards, doing word searches, talking with anyone who would listen and watching Gunsmoke or any old cowboy show.  

Memories with her will be cherished forever and she will be greatly missed.
