Sandra Jean Cameron
August 6, 1942 – May 25, 2026
Sandra Jean Cameron—a fiercely independent wife, mother, grandmother, and friend—passed away on May 25, 2026, at the age of 83. Born August 6, 1942, and raised in Beloit, Ohio, Sandra was the oldest daughter of Dale and Jean Malmsberry. She helped raise five siblings: Phil, Joan, Peg, Pam and Scott. It was in Goshen Township where she built her roots, raised her family, and lived life entirely on her own terms.
On August 12, 1961, she married Lorin Wayne Cameron. Together, they shared 65 years of marriage. As a wife and mother of three children, Sandy was a remarkably strong, resilient woman who took no nonsense. She kept everyone on their toes with her signature quick wit and was never afraid to share a perfectly-timed sarcastic remark or a flash of her sassy personality. You would have always known exactly where you stood with Sandy.
A hard worker throughout her life, Sandy was a steady, dependable presence at Mustang Products, West Branch Schools, and Tru-Cut. Furthermore, she was a talented and precise quilter and seamstress, a dedicated gardener, and an avid reader. Her kitchen was a hub of practical skills; she excelled at cooking and canning, providing for her family in her own structured way.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Jean Malmsberry; her beloved grandson, Jarod Todd Cameron; and her daughter-in-law, Christina Marie Cameron.
Her legacy of strength, grit, and unforgettable spirit lives on through her surviving family: her husband, Lorin Wayne Cameron; her three children and their spouses, Trisha Lynn (Barry) Schroeder, Jason Wayne Cameron, and Andrew James (Jeri) Cameron; and her grandchildren, Seth Schroeder, Alisandra Schroeder, Lachlan Cameron, Lauren Cameron and Kennedy Close.
Sandy’s sharp intellect, tenacity, and love of family will be deeply missed and never forgotten by those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation to Harvesting Hope in honor of Sandy Cameron. Gifts can be made at https://www.harvestinghopeiyc.org/donate. Thank you for remembering her with your kindness.”
Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.
