Ruth A. (Roberts) Boggs passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at Canterbury Villa. Born on March 21, 1933, in East Liverpool, Ruth lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and a warm spirit that touched all who knew her.
Ruth was a proud and long-standing member of the Alliance Free Will Baptist Church, where she was not only a founding member but also an active participant in the church auxiliary. Her commitment to her faith and community was a cornerstone of her life. She also spent many years working at Alliance City Hospital in the laundry department, exemplifying her strong work ethic and devotion to service.
Her passions extended beyond her work and church life. Ruth found great joy in singing, attending church services, cooking, and taking leisurely car rides. She had a fondness for visiting Amish country and enjoyed going out to dinner, often cherishing these moments with family and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willard Boggs, to whom she was married on October 2, 1959, and who passed away on November 8, 1990. She was also preceded by her daughter, Evelyn Hill; her parents, George Roberts and Evelyn Rickard Roberts; and her siblings George Roberts, Pauline Beckett, and Sarah Roberts.
She is survived by her devoted sons, Ray and Earl Boggs; her granddaughter, Jessica Snyder; her grandson, George Anthony Black; her nephew, Lonnie Lucas and his wife Diana; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to cherish her memory.
Visitation for Ruth A. Boggs will be held on May 2, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Alliance Free Will Baptist Church located at 731 Buckeye Ave, Alliance, Ohio. The funeral service will follow from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the same location. Immediately afterward, burial will take place at Alliance City Cemetery, 541 W Vine St, Alliance, Ohio, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Ruth A. Boggs's life was a testament to faith, family, and community. Her legacy as a founding member of her church and her generous, nurturing nature will be remembered with profound respect and affection by all whose lives she enriched. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home, Sebring, Ohio.
