Roy D Meredith

Roy Meredith,80, of Alliance, passed away on Wednesday May 21, 2025. Roy was born to the late Burleigh and Nancy (Golden) Meredith on August 24, 1944. Roy served in the Infantry Unit of the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. After his discharge he found a home at Armors (Sancap) until they closed down. After, he became an exterminator for Aid Pest Control of Alliance. Roy married the love of his life on July 25, 1970. Roy and Sandy got to enjoy retirement together for the last ten years. They enjoyed casinos and bingo, going on car rides, and family cookouts. Roy is survived by his wife Sandra, three children, Ken (Robbie) of Guilford Lake, Deanna Shreve of Alliance, and Rachel (Jeff) Benton of Alliance, 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Roy was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and Tom, sisters Grace and Sally, Grandson Charles F Shreve and father and mother-in-law Donald and Ruth Betz. Thank you to Louisville Gardens, Arbors of Minerva and the great staff of Aultman Alliance Hospital for the great care that they provided Roy. A special thank you to Alicia, his caregiver, for going above and beyond in the care she gave him. Roy will be sadly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
