Ronald Hoops

Ronald D Hoops, age 79, left this world on June 19th, 2023. He was born on February 6th, 1944, in Barnesville to the late Cecil and Elsie (Reed)Hoops. He graduated from Lincoln High School. He married the love of his life, Lavina (Haney)Hoops, on May 29th, 1968. The two grew their beautiful family together, with Ronald also being survived by his daughter Angela (Mike) Edwards and son Ronald (Elizabeth) Hoops. He was also greatly loved by his fur baby, Sadie. Additionally, he is survived by his siblings, Carol Snopel, Shirley Griffith, and Roy (Sharon) Hoops. His legacy spans generations, his grandchildren Nia, Keegan, Mahlen, Caulder, Emilee, Joe, Hannah, Ben, and great grandchild Eleanor will also miss him greatly, as well as brother-in-law Harry L. Haney and sister-in law Katherine Greiner, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family. Ronald retired from Fame Beverage after 40 years. He was a family man, but also made time for his friends. He will also be fondly remembered by his card playing group, Linda Geisse and Sherry Stroup, as well as his breakfast buddies, John, Sandy, and Vince. Ronald will be remembered for his love of bowling, working in the garden, and vacationing with his family. Most important of all, the memory of Ronald will be a reminder to do something nice to help someone out, as he would have done. A time of visitation will be taking place at Dean’s Funeral Home on Saturday June 24th, 2023 from 10:00 to 12:00 pm. With a luncheon to follow at Almost Home Event Center, 230 S 12th Street Sebring.  Friends and family may sign the online guest book at www.deansfuneralhome.com.
