At the heart of everything, Ronald cherished those he loved.
Ronald L. Haidet passed away on September 29, 2026, at Canterbury Villa. Born on June 17, 1950, in Smithfield, Ohio, Ronald will be fondly remembered for the life he shared with his family and the simple joys that brought him happiness. He worked as a pipemaker at an organ factory for over 30 years, taking great pride in his craftsmanship. Christmas was his favorite holiday, and he loved decorating for the season. Known for his dry sense of humor and ornery personality, he was always ready to share a joke. His life was filled with countless stories—like Aggie’s potato salad, St. Joseph’s lunch money, and ending up in an electric field—that will be kept alive through those who share them. A devoted Pink Floyd fan, his love for music brought energy and comfort to many moments in his life.
At the heart of everything, Ronald cherished those he loved. He is survived by his wife, Regena Haidet, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage since May 1982; his mother-in-law, Betty Wonner; his children, Troy and Amanda Haidet of Conway, South Carolina, Kieri and Thomas Carli of Canton, Ohio, and Ronnie and Tiff Haidet of Alliance, Ohio; and six grandchildren—Payton, London, Ireland, Charley, Jayden, and Trent—each carrying a part of his legacy. He is also survived by his brother Ron and Jamie Huber of Minerva, and sister-in-law, Diana Todd of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Carl; his sister, Dolores; his fathers-in-law, Ed and David; his sister-in-law, Scheri; and brothers-in-law, David, Jerry, and Gene.
Family and friends are invited to visitation on October 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Dean’s Funeral Home, 256 W Ohio Ave, Sebring, Ohio 44672.
Ronald will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
