Robert Glenn Stroup Sr., passed away on September 9, 2026, at Hospice of The Valley Hospice House. He was born on November 11, 1949, in Warren, Ohio.
Robert’s life was rooted in family, and that devotion remains the heart of his memory. He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Lowen, Michelle L. Stroup Spencer and her husband Richard, and Melissa A. Stroup-Loyen and her husband Thomas; by his son, Robert Stroup Jr.; by his brother, Rodney Stroup; and by his sister, Regina Stroup Amodio Stevens.
He also leaves behind a cherished and growing family in the next generations. His memory will be carried forward by his grandchildren Kyle Stroup, Brittney (Tirrell) Spencer Truitt, Brianna Loyen, Jasmine Loyen, Jules Loyen, and Ricky Spencer and his wife Jessica. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Issac Stroup, Anabella Truitt, Miles Loyen, Lilly Loyen, Tate Courts, Mikey, Sylus, Dexter, Mateo, Kole, Meela, Sunny, and Leo. Each of them stands as part of the lasting legacy of love and family that Robert leaves behind.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Belinda Stroup; his father, Charles Stroup; his mother, Dorothy Gilmer; his brother, Charles Stroup Jr.; and his nephew, Eric Amodio; and an infant son. Their memories remained part of the story of his life, and they are remembered with him now.
Robert retired from General Motors Corporation in Lordstown.
Robert will be remembered with love by those who knew him best and by the family who will continue to speak his name, share his stories, and hold him close in their hearts. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home, Sebring, Ohio.
