Akron, Ohio- Robert (Bobby) Lewis Davies Jr. , 66, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Davies Sr. and Polly DeLooze. He is survived by his wife Crystal, siblings Jerry (Karen) Davies, Karen (Jeff) Placko, and Deborah (Mel) Granberg; children Alissa and Logan Davies, Josh and Brandon Gardner; Aunt Sara Ord-Bissler, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Born February 13, 1960 in Akron, Ohio, Bob graduated from the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and immediately joined the United States Air Force, going on to proudly serve his country for 20 years. After leaving the Air Force, Bob dedicated his time to caring for his family and cultivating his hobbies such as his love of guns and gun shows, ghost hunting, camping, and Sci-fi movies like Star Wars. Bob loved his sports especially watching Cleveland Browns, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bob loved God, his country, and his family no matter what. “No matter what” has acted as a Davies family motto and speaks to the resilience, sincerity, and determination of each of its members to see things through no matter the obstacle. Bob was no different and represented this motto throughout his life. He will be missed and remembered dearly no matter what.
