Richard V. Wylie, age 79, of North Benton passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. He was born March 16, 1942 in Lisbon, Ohio to Harold Wylie and Genevieve (Allison) Wylie. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Terri (Hunt) Wylie; his children, Mike (Pamela Mack-Wylie) Wylie, Mindy (Scott) Whittenberger, Jamie (Carl Rimmer) Wylie and Travis Wylie; brothers Bob (Darlene) Wylie and Neil (Janice) Wylie; grandchildren Eric, Phillip, Michael and Nicolas; four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was a graduate of Beaver Local Schools and was a lifelong truck driver, delivering his final load for Barnett and Sons Trucking of Beloit in the fall of 2020. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Alliance. Richard owned a horse farm and had a passion for horses, traveling with them all over the United States. Family was very important to him. He had a very close bond to his brothers, and they were very dear to him. He was loved greatly by his family and will be greatly missed by them. He was affectionately referred to as "Dad" for all the happiness he brought to his children's lives. A public viewing will take place Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Dean's Funeral Home 256 W. Ohio Avenue from 2-4pm. A Catholic Mass date will be announced in the future. Friends and family may share their online condolences at www.deansfuneralhome.com.
