Richard J. Fetters, a cherished soul and devoted partner, was born on August 21, 1948, and passed away on June 28, 2025. A proud 1966 graduate of Alliance High School, Richard’s early years laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication and commitment, both personally and professionally. He served as a manager for the State of Ohio, where he demonstrated his unwavering work ethic and leadership skills.
Those who knew Richard will remember him not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his deeply ingrained dedication to his loved ones. His heart belonged especially to Joyce Stanley-Gosiewski, his significant other for a remarkable thirty years. Together, they crafted a life filled with love and companionship, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life—fishing on tranquil waters, camping under starlit skies, and enjoying leisurely Sunday rides with the wind in their hair.
Richard’s legacy also extends to his family, which includes several nieces and nephews who adored him, as well as the entire Stanley family, with whom he shared countless memories and moments of happiness. Their love and connection sustained him throughout his life and will continue to resonate in the lives he touched.
In remembering Richard, we honor the spirit of a man who brought warmth and joy to those fortunate enough to know him. Richard is survived by his beloved Joyce and the extensive family that stands together to celebrate his remarkable life, even as they mourn his loss. He rejoined those who have departed before him, including his father, Alfred G. Fetters; his mother, Kathlyn (Smith) Fetters; sister, Barbara Reda; and brothers, Alfred (J) Fetters and John (Chief) Fetters. Richard's life was a tapestry woven with love, dedication, and unforgettable moments, and his memory will forever be a guiding light for those who loved him.
