Nitro Howe, age 14, went over the rainbow bridge on March 17, 2026. He came into our lives as a stray kitten we decided to take in. We named him Nitro on our way to the NHRA races in Norwalk, and he certainly lived up to it—he was quick! He had a knack for swiping food off the table, whether it was a meal or even a bowl of tomato soup left unattended. Eventually, we learned to put our food on the counter whenever we stepped away. Nitro was feisty but full of love, enjoying playtime, chasing his sister Rylee around the house, and soaking up pets.  

He was deeply loved by his family and everyone who met him. He will be missed by his parents, Mark and Tammy; brothers Patrick (Kaycee) and Jordan (Katie); sister Brooke; cousins Jack, Paighton, and Oaklyn; and his fur sisters Boots and Rylee. He was preceded in death by his sister Pepper.
