Nathaniel Lee Hang, “Nate”, age 20, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away on June 27, 2026. Born on January 23, 2006, in Akron, Ohio, Nate was the beloved son of John Hang and Stephanie Miller. He will be remembered as a gentle, kindhearted person who cared deeply about people and animals alike. Nate was always willing to lend a helping hand and often gave freely of his time, belongings, and support to anyone who needed it. His compassion, generosity, and quiet spirit left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him.
Nate was an incredibly resourceful outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in nature, fishing, playing video games with friends, and making daily trips to Dunkin with his mom for a Caramel Crème Frappe. He especially liked taking things apart and putting them back together. Nate graduated from West Branch High School in 2024, where he was an accomplished wrestler. Although Nate was quiet by nature, those who knew him best knew they could always count on his kindness, gentle heart, and willingness to help without expecting anything in return. Those closest to him will remember his love for animals and his quiet sense of humor.
Nate was deeply loved by his family and friends. His absence leaves an immeasurable space in the lives of those who knew him, but his memory will continue through the kindness he showed, the lives he touched, and the love his family will always carry for him.
Nate is survived by his father, John Hang (May); his mother, Stephanie Miller (Jay); his brothers, Steven and Gavin; his sisters, McKenzie and Whitney; his stepbrothers, Fong (Maiker), Daoson (Aleson), Fuechi, Wesley, Jason (Bethany), and Alex; his stepsisters, Leigha and Paige; his grandparents, Eileen Poth-Ainslie (Julie), Lue and Ia Hang; and step grandparents Mimi and PawPaw Miller. He also leaves behind his best friends, Cayden and Myke; his cherished pets, Zoomie, Baby Kitty, Bandit, Tigger, and King; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steve Poth; his sister, Erica; and his beloved dog, Siren.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, July 19, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Harvesting Hope in Sebring, Ohio, with arrangements entrusted to Dean’s Funeral Home.
A private celebration of Nate’s life will be held for close friends and family on Monday, July 20, at 11:00 a.m. at SOZO Church in Alliance, Ohio.
A luncheon will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Harvesting Hope. All are welcome to attend the luncheon.
