Michael R. Zigler, a dedicated employee of American Steel, passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 68. The loss of such an admirable individual has left a void in the hearts of his loving family and friends.

Born on November 24, 1954, Michael led a remarkable life full of achievements and moments that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. He was a devoted son to his parents Shirley Stuckey and Herbert Zigler, and a caring brother to the late Susan Turner and Daniel Zigler.

Michael's career at American Steel spanned several decades, where he displayed unwavering commitment and dedication. His exemplary work ethic and expertise were well-respected among his colleagues. He made lasting impressions on everyone with his exceptional skills and willingness to always lend a helping hand.

Beyond his professional success, Michael's true joy in life came from the love he shared with his family. He was a cherished husband to Barbara Lenigar Zigler for many wonderful years. Their bond was one built on trust, respect, and an unbreakable connection that stood the test of time.

As a father, Michael had an unconditional love for his children. He has finally reuinted with his son Michael H. His legacy is kept alive by his daughter Michelle Sharp, and son James Zigler who held a special place in his heart. He took great pride in their accomplishments and supported them in every endeavor they pursued. Michael's role as a grandfather brought him immeasurable happiness. His grandsons David Zigler and two granddaughters brought light into his life that radiated through him with joy.

To his extended family and friends, Michael was more than just a steelworker or patriarch; he was someone they could rely on during both joyful moments and times of adversity. His good friend Nicole shared countless memories, laughter, and companionship with him throughout their friendship.

In addition to his immediate family members mentioned above, Michael is survived by his stepmother Betty Zigler, sister Sondra May and many brothers and sisters-in-law. The close-knit bond he shared with each of them shaped him into the compassionate and caring individual he was known to be.
