Matthew Kyle Michaels, 62, most recently of Alliance, Ohio passed away peacefully in the early hours of January 7, 2021.

Matt, preceded in death by parents Mike and Sandy (Ryan) Michaels, was born February 24, 1958 in Martins Ferry, Ohio.  Matt grew up in rural Bucyrus, Ohio and graduated from Wynford High School in 1976. Following graduation, he went into and excelled in the construction industry as a project manager.

Matt is survived by his brother, Coy Michaels, sister, Michele Michaels, daughter, Stacee (Tommy) Gimlich and grandchildren, Chase and Emilee Brown and Drayden and Westin Gimlich, as well as nephews, Kyle and Jake Michaels and niece Betsy Michaels.

Matt loved nature and being outdoors. His hobbies included trap shooting, fishing, gun collecting and he loved his corvettes and his two Australian Shepherds, Katee and Abbee.  He had a passion for cooking and made the world’s best chicken on the rotisserie that his grandfather (Pa Coy) made. His family meant the world to him and he truly loved life.
