**Obituary for Matthew J. Fagan**

Matthew J. Fagan, aged 65, of Alliance, Ohio, peacefully returned to the Lord on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 8 a.m. in the comfort of his home, in his library. He was born on December 9, 1959, in Alliance. He was the beloved son of Robert L. and Norma Fagan.

Matthew, fondly known as Matt, dedicated his life to his family and community in Alliance. He shared a beautiful love story with his high school sweetheart, Lori A. (Gurney) Fagan, whom he married on January 20, 1979. Together, they nurtured their family with love, raising two children, Elizabeth (Nathan) Sorge and Matthew A. Amy Fagan. Matt took immense joy in being a grandfather to his grandchildren: Emma Elizabeth (Sugar Pie), Chloe Marie (Pook), and Madison Lynn (Boo Boo).

He is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, two brothers, Frank (Freda) and James (Marilyn) Fagan, and a sister, Amy (Wilham) Flynn. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Matt was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, brother Robert W. Fagan, and sisters Tara Eaton, Susan Duncan, and Paula Fagan, as well as a special cousin, Paul Muhleman.

Matt's life was filled with laughter and joy, particularly with a close-knit group of friends he lovingly referred to as "the band". The times spent with them were filled with wonderful memories that he cherished deeply.

As per Matt's wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal services. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date, where family and friends can come together to honor his memory.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Shawn Richards, Dr. Jeffrey A. Marsh, and Aultman Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks are also offered to Adrian (Gigi) Rumble for her loving support during Matt's final hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring. Matt's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
