Marian June Wykle, age 90, of Atwater, passed into her Savior's arms at her home on July 10th. She was born in Monroe County, West Virginia, to Robert & Hester (Martin) Underwood and grew up mostly in Rock Camp, West Virginia. In 1952, she married the love of her life, Samuel Wykle. They moved shortly after to Ohio and raised their sons, Jimmy and Jeffrey, in Atwater. During that time, she earned her cosmetology license and became the owner/operator of June's Beauty Salon in Sebring, Ohio. While working 40-plus years as a beautician, June also held the office of President of the National Hairdressers Association of her local branch. She was a long-time member of the North Benton Presbyterian Church and spent her later years attending the Lake Milton Baptist Temple.
A devoted Mother, June adored her sons, Jimmy Lynn & Jeffrey Lloyd, and enjoyed loving on her grand and great-grandchildren. She was beloved by her family and friends, and their memories will be forever cherished.
June is survived by her sons, Jimmy L. (April) Wykle of the home, and Jeffrey L. (Diane) Wykle of Elyria, Ohio; her grandchildren, Michael Matthews, Brian) Libby Sumner, (Jeff) Jennifer Bradley, Tim Bradley, (Aaron) Nicole Davis, Richard III (Dixi) Apple, Chad (Courtney) Apple, and great-grandchildren: Chelsea, Olivia, Landon, Sydney, Liliana, Carsen, Brady, Cohen, Jaxson, Callahan, Autumn, Adaline, Daisy, and Eli also a great-great grandchild Brynn. She also leaves behind her sister Geneva Eister, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, on July 11th, 1999; an infant son, Jackie, her parents, a sister, and three brothers.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, beginning with calling hours from 6-730 pm with a short funeral service at 730 pm at Lake Milton Baptist Temple, phone 330-538-3051. June will be laid to rest with her husband, near Zenith, West Virginia, at the Wickline Cemetery, on Thursday, July 17th at 11 am. Arrangements are by Dean's Funeral Home, Sebring, Ohio.
