Louise Tanner

Louise Tanner, 72, passed away at her home in Atwater June 12, 2025.

She was born June 2, 1953, and was raised by Chester and Elizabeth Christopher of Alliance.

She was graduated in 1971 from Alliance High School, and worked in the Alliance City School office before moving to Warren, Ohio, with Larry Ringler, whom she married Aug. 11, 1973, and with whom she had two sons, Jason and Matthew.

Louise married Delmas Tanner on (1981) and lived in Alliance, Diamond and Atwater.

A caring, loving person, she spent many years with Delmas as devoted foster parents for handicapped children from the Hattie Larlham Center for Children with Disabilities in Mantua, Ohio. She also raised pure-bred Ragamuffin cats for several years.

Survivors include her husband, Delmas of Atwater; sons Jason (Melissa) of Akron, and Matthew (Ann) of Stow, and former husband, Larry (Patsy) of Portland, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents.

At her request, she will be cremated in care of Dean's Funeral Home in Sebring. No services will be held.
