Kathryn Yagello

Kathryn Yagello (Mate) age 103, of Sebring, Ohio passed away from natural causes on June 9th, 2023. Born January 27, 1920, in Alliance OH to Steve and Kathleen (Bertalon) Mate, Kay graduated from Alliance High School in 1939. She travelled to California and worked for North American Aviation making airplane parts in support of WWII, before returning to Ohio and working as an assistant to the engineer at Alliance Machine. She married in 1952, had one child and helped to raise four others. She was dedicated to her church St. Ann, and a longtime member of the Mile Branch Grange. She enjoyed helping the community, making handmade dolls, sewing, reciting her daily prayers, and loved the company of animals and people. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bohdan Yagello, children Helen (Sams), Janet, Vanessa (Susan), Robert Yagello and sister Margaret Miller. Survived by son Stephen Yagello (Linda), grandson Stephen Jr Yagello, great grandson Viktor Yagello, granddaughter Gala Raynor (James), nephew Dale Miller, and cousins Anna Keenan, Shelly Keenan Traphagen, Tracy Hoebeke, Linda Baxley, Mary (Dennis) Risden, Jason Keenan, Tina Baxley, Denise Schilling and Dennis Risden, Jr.  Mass will be held Monday July 10th at 10:00am at St. Ann Church, 323 S 15th St. and she will be buried at Grandview Cemetery, 1295 S Johnson Rd, both of Sebring Ohio.
