Joseph “Joey” Allen Stickler, age 43, of Alliance, passed away on September 20, 2026. He was born on December 8, 1982, to Jolene Stickler.

Joey was a man of many talents and passions. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether he was out fishing, playing a game of pool, listening to music, or expressing his creativity through drawing and tattooing. Above all else, he cherished the time spent with his family and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his one true love, Jen Mottaguedes; his brother, Aaron Stickler; his aunt, Virginia Stickler; his cousins, Michael Stickler, Mindy Stickler, and Scott Carpenter; and his grandparents, Helen and Ralph Stickler. He also had a beloved dog named Smoke that he enjoyed spending time with. 

Joey leaves behind a loving family who will carry his memory in their hearts. He is survived by his mother, Jolene Stickler; a special father figure, Shawn Shover; his three daughters, Katie (Josh) Stickler, Natalia Stickler, and Olivia (Eli) Mottaguedes; his beloved grandchildren, Jaxx Gordon, Jai Gordon, Paityn Gordon, and Kai Gordon; as well as many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones.

A celebration of Joey’s life will be held on October 17, 2026. In lieu of flowers, donations to a local suicide support charity would be appreciated in his memory.
