Joseph William Donaldson, of Sebring, born on May 11, 1972, in Alliance, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at Aultman Hospital in Canton. 

Joseph attended Sebring High School, where he developed a strong connection to his community and a lifelong passion for sports. A devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan, he could often be found cheering on his team with great enthusiasm. Outside of sports, Joseph’s spirited nature was expressed through his love for riding dirt bikes and motorcycles, and he appreciated all kinds of music, activities that brought joy and excitement to his life.

Professionally, Joseph worked as a welder at East Manufacturing until illness forced him into disability. Despite the challenges he faced, his determination and strength remained unwavering. Above all, Joseph was proud of his family and cherished his role as a father, relative, and friend.

Joseph’s warmth and kindness radiated through his relationships with those closest to him. He was the beloved father of daughters Annika Smith and Julionna “Pudie” Pierce. His surviving siblings include his sister Lori and her husband Tim Furry; brothers Michael and his wife Jodi Donaldson; and Troy and his wife Jayne Donaldson. His family circle also embraces niece Jessica Donaldson and nephews Gary Garlock and Nick Donaldson. Joseph’s extended family and friends grieve deeply but celebrate the special memories they hold.

He was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Donaldson and his parents, Robert and Judith (Weekly) Donaldson.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Joseph’s memory on April 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Sebring American Legion, located at 395 W California Avenue, Sebring, Ohio 44672. Friends and family are invited to gather, share stories, and remember a man who loved his kids and family with a fierce and tender heart.

Joseph William Donaldson’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and spirited enthusiasm for life. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.
