**Obituary for James "Jim" VanCamp**

James "Jim" VanCamp, age 91, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family. Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, Jim spent much of his youth working the muck farms in Hartville, Ohio. A dedicated farmer, he owned produce markets and greenhouses throughout his life. Jim's green thumb earned him recognition from the Alliance Town & Country Committee, which awarded him the prestigious "Yard of the Month" award, an accomplishment he cherished.

Jim was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 58 years, Barbara, as well as his parents, in-laws, and siblings, including brothers John, Bill, and Danny, and dear family friend Virginia Stickler.

He is lovingly remembered by his three children, Tammie, Bob, and Jay (Amy). His legacy continues through his grandsons, Brandon and Garret (Taylor), and great-grandsons, Wyatt and Crue. He is also survived by his sister, Nola Mae Garman, and Mary Lou (Lloyd) Holona, along with two special cousins, Darla Partridge and Gayle Furbush, numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends, including his grand pup, Beau.

In honor of Jim's life, private family services and burial will be held at New Baltimore Cemetery in Marlboro, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home.
