James Charles Nieman I, a hardworking man with a heart of gold, has passed away peacefully following a short illness on October 25, 2023, in Salem. Born on February 7, 1969, James was the beloved son of Charles Thomas Nieman and Diane Elizabeth Nieman.
James dedicated his career to working in construction, specializing in drywall. He possessed an exceptional skill set and took great pride in his work. Whether it was building homes or renovating buildings, James's craftsmanship was unparalleled. His dedication to his craft earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, James will be remembered for his kind spirit and generosity. He had an unwavering commitment to helping others and regularly extended a helping hand to those in need. James had a heart that overflowed with compassion and empathy, always putting the well-being of others before his own. His acts of kindness brightened the lives of many individuals.
During his leisure time, James found solace in nature. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes, as he found peace by the water's edge. Being outdoors allowed him to relax and take in the beauty of the world around him. Additionally, he cherished spending time with friends, engaging in friendly games of pool and euchre. Shooting guns provided another avenue for him to bond with loved ones over shared interests.
In addition to leaving behind a legacy of hard work and compassion, James leaves behind a grieving family who will forever hold him close to their hearts. He is survived by his loving children Amanda Lee Nieman, James Charles Nieman II, and Jarret Drescher.
James also leaves behind three sisters who mourn his loss deeply: Melissa Louise Nieman, Melinda Denise McCoy, and Michelle Diane Lease. He will also be missed by nephews Edward Wiley McCoy, Samuel Wyatt McCoy, Sean Douglas Biggs, and niece Brenda Marie (Campbell) Gregory, as well as others who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
In addition to his parents, James has reunited in Heaven with his niece, Shannon Daye Campbell.
James Charles Nieman I, was a remarkable man whose warmth and selflessness touched the lives of countless individuals. He faced every challenge with resilience and always found a way to bring joy into the lives of those around him. His memory will forever serve as an inspiration for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
