George J. Pinis III of Massillon, age 69, passed away on January 29, 2020 at Aultman Hospital. He was born in Canton, OH on November 28, 1950. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Pinis Jr. and Virginia Pinis (Stofer). George was known for his love of video games, and he was a loyal Sega collector. He loved animals and taking care of his cats. His favorite place to be was the Massillon IHOP in the early morning hours before work. He told many stories of paying for strangers' meals and them paying for his. He was always touched by the random generosity of strangers and liked to make people smile every chance he had. He was still employed full-time at the Amster Kirtz company, where he worked for the past 48 years as a delivery driver. He made many friends around the state on his deliver route, and with everyone he met at IHOP. He liked to tell stories and jokes, and was always the life of the party. He is survived by his daughter, Carrie (Dan) Weiner of Canton, his son, Jonathan Pinis of Phoenix, AZ, His brothers Tom and Fred Pinis, and his grandchildren.
