George W. Ferrell

George Ferrell, 71, of Ravenna passed away peacefully in his home on December 26th, 2023.

George was born January 19, 1952, to the late Laverne and Wanona Ferrell in Rootstown, Ohio. He lived in Ravenna, Ohio most of his adult life. George married the late Carol (McDaniel- Sipes) Ferrell on September 1, 1973, and she preceded him in death in 2021.

George is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Danyel) Kennedy and his son Jason (Erin) Ferrell; grandchildren Dylan and Brayden Kennedy, Jordyn and Tristan Ferrell and Jade (Zach) Ford;  sisters Cindy (Joe) Kaltenbach, Linda Ramsey and Sue (Bill) Barbey; brother-in-law Larry McDaniel. He was also survived by close family friends Karen Carter, Andrea Irwin, Cassie Nicholas, Tracy McMillan and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Before retiring, George worked as a CNC operator for NFM for 30 years.  After retirement, he enjoyed doing home renovation in his spare time and providing basic handyman services for those he was close to.

George was an avid Steelers and the Browns fan. He loved going over to his daughters and taking his "grand dog" Duke out for ice cream or just to go over and play. George enjoyed meeting with friends for coffee at various places around town every day. He always had a unique sense of humor. George was a wonderful husband ,father, grandfather, papa, and brother.

A time of visitation, will take place Wednesday, January 3rd from 10-1130am at Almost Home Event Center, 230 S 12th Street in Sebring. Funeral service to follow at 1130 am. Burial will take place at Maplegrove Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean’s Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio.
