Gary L. Jordan, a beloved father, grandfather, and dedicated business owner, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at Aultman Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born on April 25, 1952, Gary lived a life that exemplified dedication and love.
A graduate of West Branch High School, Gary pursued a successful career as the owner and operator of his own trucking company. His work was not just a means of livelihood but a reflection of his tenacity and commitment. Known for his strong work ethic, he gained the respect and admiration of those in the industry and everyone he encountered.
Family was at the heart of Gary’s life. He took immense pride in his role as a father to his two daughters, Janet (Roger) Barnett and Jennifer Jordan. His grandchildren—Aleecia, Miranda, Mason, Miles, and Alayna—were his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Gary’s dedication to his family was a testament to his character, and he poured love into their lives, relishing every laugh, hug, and adventure they shared together.
Outside of his professional life, Gary had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. He loved camping and fishing, finding peace in nature's embrace. His passion for collecting race cars and Peterbilt trucks highlighted his appreciation for craftsmanship and speed, while his love for flowers and gardening showed his nurturing spirit.
Gary leaves behind a vibrant legacy made up not only of memories but also of the many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. He was predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Mary Cooper Jordan, as well as his siblings Patty, Mary Lou, Jim, and Melvin. Their presence is missed, yet Gary's enduring spirit continues to inspire those he loved and who loved him back.
At this time, there will be no services held, honoring Gary’s wishes. However, the impact he made in the lives of those around him will live on, woven through the stories shared and the love that binds family and friends together. Gary L. Jordan will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, profound kindness, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of all who knew him.
