Fred Brian Blendenbacher, 68 of Sebring, born March 7, 1957, to the late Fred and Frances E. (Wells) Blendenbacher, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. He passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by his treasures and his faithful companion, Ginger, his dog, after an extended battle with diabetes.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Frances (Wells) Blendenbacher, and his sister, Eloise Ann (Thomas) Shaw of Reynoldsburg. Survivors include his sons, Brian Lee Blendenbacher and Tony James Blendenbacher, both of Alliance. Grandson John Millner Blendenbacher of Maryland. Also, the mother of their children, Cindy (Stryffeler) Blendenbacher of Alliance.
He graduated from the class of 1975 from West Branch High School and Mahoning County Career Technical Center, where he studied autobody. He worked at several potteries in Sebring, at Roker Nursing Home, and FE Schumacher Lumbar Company in Hartville.
He loved and treasured his family and his Swiss heritage. He attended First Baptist Church in Alliance, where he was baptized, and later The Fellowship Baptist Church in Sebring.
His hobbies included buying and selling cars to restore for car shows. He also loved music; he was proud of his 45 's for his jukebox and his large record collection and legacy, which will be passed on to his sons. Family travel included Niagara Falls, the Swiss Festival, Ohio State Fair, Presque Isle, and an annual trip to Florida during Spring Break. He will be missed but never forgotten. Thank you to all who helped to comfort him in the last years of his life.
A Celebration of Life will take place on his birthday Saturday, March 7, 2026. A time of visitation will take place from 2-3 pm at Harvesting Hope, IYC 230 S 12th Street, Sebring. A funeral service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor William Saunders officiating. Arrangements were entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home Sebring, Ohio. Internment will take place at Highland Memorial Park at a later date.
