Sebring

On February 18, 2024, Elizabeth (Guy) Zeppernick, a cherished resident of Sebring, Ohio, passed away at the age of 67. Known affectionately as Beth, she was deeply rooted in her hometown, a place she held dear to her heart throughout her entire life. Beth's unwavering love for Sebring was evident to all who knew her, as she found solace and joy in the community where she had built countless memories.

A proud graduate of Sebring McKinley Class of 1974, Beth's legacy shone brightest on the basketball court during her high school years. Her athletic prowess and dedication made her an exceptional player and endeared her to many. For over three decades, Beth dedicated herself to the Sebring potteries, finding fulfillment and purpose in the work she did there. Despite eventually transitioning to Coastal Pets in her final working years—a decision that pulled her away from Sebring—Beth found solace in the camaraderie of her colleagues who became a source of comfort and support akin to family.

Beth leaves behind a loving legacy carried on by her daughter, Samantha (Kenton) Thornton of Nappanee, Indiana, and four cherished grandchildren: Tyler Thornton serving in the Active duty USAF in Nevada; Matthew Thornton from Indianapolis; Kylie (Zane) Kidder; and Abigail Thornton from Nappanee, Indiana. She is also survived by her sister Melissa (Guy) Rainer of Alliance, Ohio, along with nephews Mark Pederzolli of Columbus Ohio, Dan Pederzolli of Alliance Ohio, Justin Guy of Salem Ohio, and Seth Guy of Sebring.

Preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Guy and Carol (Grindley) Guy; brother Daniel Guy; infant sister Tana Guy; nephew Stefan Guy; and husband Richard Zeppernick—Beth's memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

A private family service will be held to honor Beth's life with burial at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Danny's Cans—an organization close to Beth's heart due to its ties to both her brother and the Village of Sebring—are welcomed on their website https://dannyscans.org. Checks can be mailed to 205 E. Wisconsin Ave. Sebring, Ohio 44672.  The family has entrusted arrangements to Dean's Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio.

In the quiet moments when our hearts ache for Beth’s presence once more, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on through the memories we hold dear. Elizabeth "Beth" Zeppernick may have departed this earthly realm but remains forever present in our hearts as a beacon of love and light.
