Elaine R Noe

Elaine Noe, age 86, passed away peacefully on the evening of May 25, 2025, at 8:00 PM, surrounded by love. At her side were her daughters, Bethann and Kathie, and her granddaughter, Lauren, who held space with grace and tenderness as Elaine made her final transition.

Born in 1939, Elaine married the love of her life, Donald Noe, in 1957. Together, they raised seven children and built a life defined by devotion, strength, and enduring love. Don preceded her in death in 2005.

Elaine was a devoted mother to Bethann Sheen (Donnie), Donald Noe (Tammy), Robert Noe (Britta), Christopher Noe (Melanie), and Kathie Noe (Johnathan Paw), as well as two beloved children who preferred not to be named. She was a proud grandmother to many grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and a growing number of great-grandchildren.

Elaine brought her signature warmth and zest for life to everything she did. At age 60, she took up running, competing in numerous local races and frequently winning her age group. At 69, she completed her first half marathon—a testament to her spirit and determination. She found joy in cooking, baking, doting on her beloved dogs, and most of all, spending time with her family.

For over 20 years, Elaine owned and operated Park Centre Optical, where her compassion and genuine care made her much more than an optician—she was a comfort and a friend to every patient who walked through the door.

She also had a gift for bringing people together. For decades, she and Don hosted a legendary Christmas Eve party at their home in Wadsworth, a cherished tradition that brought together family, friends, neighbors, and members of the wider community—filling the house with warmth, laughter, and the unmistakable magic she helped create.

A woman of deep Catholic faith, Elaine carried her beliefs with quiet strength and grace throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her kind and generous heart, and a legacy of joyful, meaningful connection that lives on in all who knew her.

A full Catholic funeral mass will be held in honor of Elaine and Don at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church in Dungannon, Ohio on Saturday 14 June, at noon. The couple will be interred together at Saint Paul’s Catholic Cemetery, where Don will receive a full military burial. A celebration of Elaine’s life will follow at Harvest by Faith Ministry, 135 W. Ohio Ave, Sebring, Ohio 44672. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Save Ohio Strays or Special Olympics
