Edward F Samec Sr. passed away on January 5 , 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on March 9, 1944. Edward was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and a respected member of his community.

Edward dedicated a large part of his life to his career at Chrysler. After many years of hard work and dedication, he retired from the company with honor and pride. His work ethic and commitment were admired by his colleagues and supervisors.

Edward's military service played an important role in shaping his character. He served his country with distinction as an Army veteran. His time in the military instilled in him a sense of discipline and patriotism that he carried with him throughout his life.

When he wasn't busy with work or serving his country, Edward enjoyed pursuing various hobbies and interests. He possessed an incredible talent for fixing things, especially vehicles. Known as a great mechanic, he could repair anything with a motor. Edward's skill and knowledge amazed those around him.

Additionally, Edward had a passion for hunting for treasures at garage sales. It brought him great excitement to find hidden gems that others may have overlooked. Aside from this hobby, he cherished spending time at the cottage by the lake; it provided him tranquility and joy.

Vacationing with family was something Edward always looked forward to. Creating lasting memories together brought him immense happiness. Fishing trips were particularly special to him as they allowed for bonding moments with loved ones while enjoying the calmness of nature.

Above all else, Edward valued his family dearly, especially his precious grandchildren. Nothing brought him more joy than seeing them happy and thriving. He cherished every moment spent with them and loved being a guiding presence in their lives.

On April 8, 1969, Edward married the love of his life, Marcia (Higgins) Samec. Their union was filled with love and companionship, creating a beautiful bond that lasted over five decades. Their marriage was a testament to the enduring power of love and dedication.

Edward will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcia Samec. He leaves behind his sister, Louise Koslosky, his sister Sherry Gelemba, and his brothers Donald Kadusky and Steve Kadusky.

Edward's memory will also be cherished by his daughter; Dianna (Tim) Christopher, step-daughter Suzanne (Rodney) as well as his son Edward (Tracy) Samec Jr. He was blessed with the presence of several grandchildren who brought light into his life: Nicole Christopher, Alexa Christopher, Amanda (Matt) Blevins, Austin (Cora) Wilson, Michael (Maria) Boyd, Brittany (Nick) Barbush, Stephanie (Ben) Shimer, Johnny (Kat) Carson.

In addition to his grandchildren, Edward was blessed with great-grandchildren who brought joy and laughter to his days: Connor, Zander, Oliver, Cody, Sylis Harlan Emmett, and Scarlett.

Edward F Samec Sr.'s devotion to his family and community has left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.

A Funeral Service for Edward F Samec Sr. will be held at 11:00 AM on January 11th. The service will take place at Dean's Funeral Home located at 256 W Ohio Ave in Sebring, OH 44672. Following the service, a Burial ceremony will take place at Hawley Cemetery located on McClintocksburg Rd in Ravenna, OH 44266.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Judes children’s research center or American Cancer Society.
