Denzil Deuley, a beloved son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on September 7, 2025, due to complications from a long illness.
Denzil was born on April 9, 1961, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Denzil W. Deuley and Effie Mae (Dean) Deuley. He was one of eight children, and he grew up in a loving, close-knit family. After attending Chaney High School, he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, dedicating himself to serving and protecting his country.
Denzil leaves behind six siblings: Vickie (Jeffrey) White, Terry (the late Cathy) Deuley, Phyllis (the late Gary) Jenkins, Charles Deuley, Ronald Deuley, and Louella (Kim) Rydbom. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Tracey Lynne Deuley.
He leaves behind a legacy through his four children, Jessica Deuley of Warren, Denzil (Kristi) Deuley of Champion, Jacquelynne Deuley of Kent, and Ryan Deuley of Alliance. Denzil was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Bruce (Tori) Guy, Haley Scott, Antonio (Brianna) Caruso, Bella Deuley, Dante Deuley, and Emersyn Deuley. he was also blessed with two great-grandchildren: Bruce Guy and Maeve Guy. He is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
A hardworking man with a passion for the open road, Denzil spent many years as a truck driver, working for several companies throughout his career. One of his proudest roles was hauling race cars for NASCAR driver Rusty Wallace. He also worked as a foreman for East Manufacturing.
Denzil was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan. His love for racing and football brought him joy throughout his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday September 20, 2025, at The Mahoning County Coon Hunter's Club, 9680 Akron Canfield Rd., Canfield, Ohio 44406. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home, Sebring, Ohio.
