Dannie Smallwood

Dannie W. Smallwood Sr., age 83 passed away Thursday June 18, 2020 after a brief hospitalization. He was born May 3, 1937 to the late William and Celia Smallwood. He was preceded in death by his Parents, his Wife; Twila, Brothers; William, James, Frank, Edgar, and Claud. He is survived by his Children; Dannie Jr. and his Wife Jodi, Daughter; Lucinda McClure and her Husband John, Grandchildren; Joshua (Connie) Tenney, Ashley McKnight, Brook McKnight and several Great- Grandchildren, Brothers; John and Jack Smallwood. He was retired from Acme Foods and Teamsters Local 348.He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was an avid gambler who adored Texas Holdem and spending time with his friends at local social clubs. He also loved gardening and being outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. A Graveside Service will be held prior to interment on Wednesday June 24, 2020 1t 1pm in Hillside Memorial Park at 1025 Canton Road in Akron with Kylie Dean officiating.
