Daniel Lee Wimer, 73, of Alliance, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025. Born on July 27, 1951, he was the beloved son of the late Arvie Glenn and Grace (Horner) Wimer.Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, David and Richard Wimer,his son-in-law, Daniel Swonger,and his great-grandson, Alan Howe.He is lovingly remembered by Lora Wimer and their children: Tammy (Jeremy) Wimer-Long, Kathy (Matt) Wimer-Gehret, and Dan (Tiffany) Wimer. He was a proud grandfather to Samantha (Tyler) VanCamp, Danielle (Josh) Swonger, Sabrina (Jake) Carpenter, Kaycee (Patrick) Swonger, Kevin (Delaney) Carpenter, Sommer and Daniel Wimer. Makenzie Ashe, Theresa & Alivia Long. His legacy continues in his four great-grandchildren: Weston, Easton, Briggston, and Chesney.Dan graduated from Marlington High School in 1969 and later retired from Buckeye Packaging. Known for his generous spirit and love for family, Dan filled his days with laughter, companionship, and the joy of being surrounded by those he loved most. Dan's family meant the world to him. He had a lifelong passion for working on cars and was a gifted woodcarver, dedicating decades to perfecting his craft. Dan’s hands were always busy, whether under the hood of a car, playing with his guitars or delicately shaping a block of wood into something beautiful.There will be no formal services. His family encourages loved ones to remember him in their own way—with a story, a laugh, or simply a heartfelt ....“YAH-MON” His memory will live on in the love he gave, the stories he told, and the lives he touched!
