Catherine A. Edie, a devoted daughter, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and loyal sister, left this world on August 20, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on March 14, 1967, Catherine was a bright spark in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. A proud graduate of Alliance High School in 1985, she carried her steadfast determination and genuine care for others into every aspect of her life.
Catherine was a woman of substance and sincerity, often described as very straight to the point yet wrapped in a warmth that made her beloved by her family and friends. Her dedication to her family knew no bounds—she was the heartbeat of her household, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Her love for her family was unwavering and evident, a guiding light that brought everyone together.
She had a passion for cooking, where she found joy in preparing meals for her loved ones, often filling their homes with the comforting aromas from her kitchen. Music, particularly the vibrant tunes of the 80s, also held a special place in her heart, often bringing back memories of laughter-filled gatherings with those she adored.
Catherine is survived by her beloved daughter, Alixandra Edie, and her Son Michael (Kaitlyn) Edie and treasured grandchildren: Faith, Jayden, Adelyn, and Austin. She also leaves behind her brothers, William (Renee) McGrath Jr. and Ian McGrath, who will forever carry her memory within their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Sharon (Jones) McGrath, her sister, Elizabeth McGrath, and her cherished grandson, Aiden. The legacy of Catherine's love and kindness will continue to resonate through the lives she touched, forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to share in her journey.
A visitation in her honor will be held at Dean's Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio on August 26, 2025, where family and friends are invited to celebrate a life so beautifully lived. The doors will open at 5:00 PM, allowing all who loved her to gather and pay their respects, with services concluding at 7:00 PM.
