**Obituary for Brian Earl Thurmond "Pete"**

Brian Earl Thurmond, affectionately known as "Pete," was born on July 18, 1988, in Alliance, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in Akron, Ohio, where he resided.

Brian completed his high school education and thereafter embarked on a fulfilling career with Central Concrete. His job allowed him to travel extensively across numerous states, broadening his horizons and contributing to his love for exploration. A devoted family man, Brian cherished spending quality time with his loved ones. He found joy in the simplicity of long walks through nature and had a deep appreciation for all types of music, which he often expressed through his own musical pursuits and an affinity for beauty in various forms.

He is survived by his mother, Lewana Thurmond; five brothers and five sisters; paternal grandparents Janet Stovall, Louise Fields, and James McElroy; his father James Colvin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl C. Thurmond, known as "Rocky."

Services in honor of Brian will be held at Deans Funeral Home, located at 256 W. Ohio Ave, Sebring, Ohio, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A repast will follow at the Church of Nazarene, situated at 1345 S. Arch, Alliance, Ohio, from 1:00 PM until the conclusion of the day. Arrangements are entrusted to Dean's Funeral Home.
