William Jakubisn

William David Jakubisn, 64, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019 at Alliance Community Care Center in Alliance, with family at his side. Born in E. Liverpool, Ohio on October 17, 1954. Adopted by Charles and Elaine Jakubisn (both deceased). William attended Salem High School. He worked in construction for many years, then was employed at Longaberger Co. in Hartville. He was a hard worker, enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, mowing the lawn, helping on the Layne farm, watching sports and the weather channel. William was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and his faith in God’s promise of a paradise earth sustained him the past 10 years of his battle with cancer. William is survived by his loving family - wife of 45 years Sherrie (Layne) Jakubisn, daughter Stephani Jakubisn, and son Justin Jakubisn of CA. Also several close in laws, many nieces and nephews, and nephew Vincent Layne, who held a special place in his heart. Adopted sister Linda. Preceded in death by mother in law Ruth Layne, brother in law Robert Layne, and niece Yvonne Layne. Family would like to thank all the staff who cared for William so well at Cleveland Clinic, Alliance Community Care, Alliance Hospice, Dr. Lehrer, Dr. Iqbal, Dr. Singh, Alliance Hospital ER and ICU staff. Memorial service Sat. August 24, 2019 at 5:00 pm, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1610 State Blvd. Salem, OH. Lou Whitaker officiating.
