Dorothy I. McGuire age 91

Dorothy (Jacob) McGuire, loving wife, mother and grandmother died peacefully at home August 23, 2018.

She was born August 21, 1927 to Edward & Laura (Arnold) Jacob.

Dottie's greatest joys were in her family and  her faith.

As a young women her passions were bowling, tennis and roller skating. She especially loved playing broom hockey on roller skates.  In later years when her health slowed her down, she would dazzle family and  friends shooting bedside hoops, loved beating her son Doug at Tic-Tac-Toe, and loved the slot machines.

She was a gracious, loving woman who never complained, was quick to smile and laugh, and always found the blessing and silver lining in any dark cloud.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Delmus L. McGuire.  Son Ronald McGuire, Grandson Lucas Cole, Sister Margaret Reiter, and Brother Louis and Stanley Jacob.

She is survived by her children Constance Beckwith, Donna McGuire-Cole (fiancé Michael Hernandz), Douglas McGuire (Christine), 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

The family request that any charitable donations be given to the charity the giver holds near and dear to their heart.

Services will be held, Sunday September 2, 2018 at 3 pm. Pastor Duane Wilbur will officiate the service. Friends and family may pay their respects at the funeral home from 1 till 3 pm.

A private burial will  be at Green Haven Cemetery.
